Return to CatalogThe Missing Link is proud to make available once again the Opti-Bet program, thanks to Michael J. Pascual. Opti-Bet is the first program to ever appear in our catalog that has not been whooly or partially written by Missing Link.
Based upon the mathematical expertise of Michael J. Pascual, the Opti_bet program includes dutching routines for Exactas and Win wagers, Optimal Place and Show, Optimal Two Positions, Optimal Show Parlay, the Bayes Exacta Model, Trifecta, Pick-3 and Pick-6 wagers.
Opti-Bet is a manual-entry program, and is not tied into Plus V -- it may be used to advantage by any handicapper.
Also available is the Opti-Bet source code, written in the BASIC computer language. The source code may be run under QBASIC, which is incuded in the most recent versions of MSDOS, and is adaptable to other flavors of BASIC.
The source code option is invaluable to anyone wishing to create their own customized version, or to anyone wishing to investigate how a commercial quality handicapping program was constructed.
