Impact Value

Impact values are universally recognized as the primary scientific means of applying statistical significance to thoroughbred handicapping information and data.

If you wish to know, for example, how much "weight" to place on a handicapping factor, such as class drop, versus one such as speed last race, the answer probably lies in the Impact Value studies that have been developed over the last decade or two.

The first published computer study of Impact Values was released in 1979, and was written by William L Quirin, Phd., in his classic book Winning At The Races. This seminal work was published by William Morrow & Company, Inc.

The ISBN for this monumental work is 0-688-03400-4.

Professor Quirin's works may be ordered from virtually any bookstore in the country. We believe that all serious handicappers, especially those that own and utilize computers, should own a copy of this book.
