Report Writer I

Are the built in reports in Plus V just not quite right for your tastes? Perhaps you wish you had a single report that combined the data in the Trainer/Jockey report along with the Pedigree information... Or, maybe you wish that the Pace Summary report included just a few more figures... Or just a printout of Moving Averages for Speed and Class... How about an "angles" report that only prints out favorable overlay situations that you have discovered, if they exist in today's card?

Over the years, we've received numerous requests asking for different Reports. Everyone has their own personal preferences. Finally, we've thrown in the towel. With Report Writer I, non-programmers can design their own custom reports! Your reports can include any of the data generated by the Export function included in Plus V (See P5EXPORT.DOC). In addition, you can design reports that include calculations based upon this data (like Moving Averages). You can create virtual fields, summarize any field, and print the result on a race-by-race basis. An experienced user can even create their own handicapping system. This is one powerful tool. Report Writer I includes several starter reports you can modify, and an extensive Tutorial in the 40 page manual. Report Writer I requires a 286 or better processor and a computer with Extended memory.
